Down Syndrome model appears in wedding photoshoot

Australian model with Down Syndrome, Madeline Stuart, defied potential ridicule when she published photos on social media of a wedding photoshoot. Stuart posed for the bridal shoot with imaginary husband, model Quaid Coxsey, at Rixey Manor in Virginia, the US.
The pictures show the model on Quaid's arm, in a Disney princess-style wedding gown.
Stuart's photos were applauded by her followers on Instagram, who said she defied social isolation and stereotypes for Down Syndrome sufferers through her work in the fashion industry.
Rosanne Stuart, Stuart's mother, told the Daily Mail that her daughter received the attention and praise of the audience in her wedding dress.
She added that her daughter's choice to publish the photos communicates the message that Down Syndrome sufferers have the right to love and marry and to be accepted by society despite their disability.

Rosanne added that by entering the feild of fashion in spite of her Down Syndrome, Stuart has made a significant contribution to worldwide awareness of people with disabilities, calling for greater integration of those with disabilities in society.
