Dozens of students storm Cairo University building

Dozens of students stormed Cairo University's dome building to call for "the departure of the perpetrators of the military coup and the release of their arrested colleagues."

The students chanted against the military, saying, "Down with the rule of the military," "Depart, Sisi!" and "The coup is terrorism."

The students sat on the ground, whistled and beat drums while university employees closed the doors to the building's rooms to prevent the students from breaking into them.

Clashes had broken out on Sunday between students supporting the Brotherhood and opposing students at Cairo University when students chanted against the army. One security guard was injured while the students hurled stones at each other.
