The Administrative Court of the State Council annulled Wednesday the maximum wage rate decision issued by the prime minister for workers at the Export Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE) and Construction and Housing Development Bank (CHD).
The court headed by Justice Yahya Dakrory said the conditions specified in the law for workers that should be applied does not apply to the workers at the two banks.
Workers at the Egyptian Export Development and Construction and Housing Development banks had filed a claim demanding the cancellation of the decision applying the maximum wage rate on them saying the two banks are private.
The Construction and Housing Development bank applied the decision on its leaders, said the bank president Fatehy al-Sebaee. He added the bank's legal staff will study the application of the court rule which cancelled the maximum wage rate.
