The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) is hosting the second Investors Summit on Tuesday, under the auspices of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb.
The summit is attended by ministers of the Economic Group, representatives of the business community, financial institutions and Egyptian and foreign investment banks.
The Stock Exchange will present its plan for government and private companies to obtain finances needed for expansion and restructuring.
The conference is also an opportunity to learn about successful experiences of medium and small enterprises, and review the government's vision as to how to make use of the stock market in financing large government projects.
EGX Chairman Mohamed Omran said financing small or large companies can lead to stronger economic growth, given the continuous government support. He added that the conference is an opportunity to restore investment in the country.
“The legislative and regulatory structure of the stock exchange has strengthened it considerably,” he said.
