Egypt’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union Dr. Obaida al-Dandarawy held talks with African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat on preparations for Egypt’s hosting of the African Union coordination summit in El Alamein in June, along with a business forum to be held on its sidelines.
The two sides exchanged views on efforts to promote stability, security, and peace in Africa, as well as advancing development and post-conflict reconstruction, a portfolio led by Egypt.
The Egyptian ambassador expressed appreciation for the leadership of the AU Commission chair in advancing African integration and implementing Agenda 2063, reaffirming Egypt’s full support for his mandate.
