Egypt has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation army’s bombing and targeting of places of worship in the Gaza Strip, including mosques and churches, most recently the Latin Monastery Church in Gaza.
This action is described as a new crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt expressed its strong denunciation of Israel’s systematic violations of all rules of international humanitarian law in its war against innocent Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The statement called upon the international community to put an end to these violations and to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to fulfill its responsibilities in protecting places of worship and refraining from harming holy sites in any way.
