Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen witnessed the inking of documents on the extension of a strategic energy sector cooperation and technical aid agreement between Egypt and Denmark.
The renewed agreement was inked by Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker and Danish Ambassador to Egypt Svend Olling.
The terms of the agreement was extended to five years instead of three to give an addition time to the signing parties to conduct the activities listed in a memorandum of understanding that they both inked in July 2020.
The agreement aims at establishing a platform that makes it easy to document cooperation activities in the field of energy between the Egyptian governmental institutions and their Danish peers, Shaker said.
It also aims at strengthening trade relations and the exchange of expertise in the field of clean energy between Egypt and Denmark, he added.
