
Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised the depth of the strategic partnership between Egypt and France.
His remarks came during a meeting on Monday, April 20, 2026, with Secretary-General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Martin Briens, marking the first round of the Egyptian-French strategic dialogue.
Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s keenness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields.
The meeting also addressed developments in the Middle East, with the foreign minister reviewing Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the US-Iran negotiation track, stressing the need for concerted regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions and end the war.
