Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs and Preventive Mohamed Awad Tag-Eddin has stressed that Egypt is free of polio cases.
Speaking to Egyptian Channel 1, he reiterated on Saturday that the state still works on providing all children, whether those who are living in Egypt or coming from abroad, with anti-polio vaccinations although there are no infections in Egypt.
The vaccination campaigns are launched by medical teams and health offices for children ranging from one day to 15 years old, he said, urging all citizens to respond to the campaigns.
Egypt has made great medical achievements and topped several countries through eradicating diseases, particularly polio and Hepatitis C Virus, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the presidential adviser added.
