Egypt and Japan have agreed on the importance of consolidating their political dialogue, maintaining communication channels, and exchanging more high-level visits to ensure effective joint coordination on all issues of mutual concern.
During their talks on Tuesday at the premises of the Foreign Ministry, which were co-led by Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ayman Kamel and Director General of the Japanese Foreign Ministry’s Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau Kansuke Nagaoka, the two sides also reviewed the efforts afoot to promote bilateral cooperation at various levels.
The talks focused on the need for continued efforts to lure further investments, and ways to strengthen trade and economic ties for the benefit of both countries.
Kamel briefed the Japanese side on the measures taken by various state bodies to create a business-friendly environment conducive to foreign direct investments (FDIs), and iron out any obstacles facing Japanese investors in Egypt, given the serious steps taken by some Japanese companies to invest in economic zones nationwide.
Meanwhile, Nagaoka applauded the positive developments Egypt is witnessing despite global challenges.
He also commended the efforts under way to build the Grand Egyptian Museum, which will be a great addition to world cultural heritage.
