Egypt participated Tuesday in the Human Rights Day which marks the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as the first UN document to protect human dignity.
In a statement on the occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration asserted that this declaration was a turning point in the history of human rights.
It added that such a declaration paved the way for building a human rights system supporting and protecting human rights.
The statement pointed out to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s directives on supporting the values of citizenship. equality, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
