Egypt’s national handball team defeated Slovenia 26/25 in the main round of the 2025 World Men’s Handball Championship, securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
With this well-deserved victory, Egypt now sit second in Group D of the main round with six points.
On Sunday, the Pharaohs will play against Cape Verde in their last match in the main round.
On Wednesday, the Egyptian national handball team suffered a narrow defeat of 27-24 to Iceland in the main round of the IHF Men’s Handball World Championship.
The tournament, which is currently hosted by Croatia, Denmark, and Norway, will last till February 2.
