During a Wednesday cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Health Minister Hala Zayed presented the latest developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic locally and internationally, and reviewed preparations to receive Pfizer vaccine in governorates across the nation
She explained that 12 freezers were provided with a large storage capacity, and eight freezers with medium storage capacity.
A place in the National Serum and Vaccine Complex in Helwan has been prepared to install six refrigerators to store the vaccine.
Zayed explained the plan for the supply and distribution of vaccines for September.
The total planned to be received from September 11 to 30 are 17 million doses of AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Sputnik, and Pfizer vaccines, in addition to five million Sinopharm doses, she explained.
Zayed said Egypt will receive between 100,000 and 250,000 donated doses of AstraZeneca vaccine but the date of supply has not been determined.
