CAIRO, Feb 5 (Aswat Masriya) – Egypt’s stock market main index EGX 30 hiked by 3.6 per cent over the past week, said a stock exchange's weekly report published Friday.
While EGX 30 climbed from 5,986 points at the start of the week to reach 6,202 points, the secondary indicators dropped during last week's trading.
The report showed the index for small and medium enterprises EGX 70 by 1.8 per cent falling to 349 points compared to 355 at the start of the week.
The broader EGX 100 also slumped by 0.88 per cent to reach 708 points, down from 714 points recorded before trading kicked off this week.
