Egypt’s petroleum exports decline 38% in March

Petroleum exports declined by 38 percent in March compared to the same month in 204, reaching LE2.216 billion, according to Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
 
In a monthly bulletin issued on Monday, CAPMAS said that petroleum imports increased by 94 percent in March with respect to the same period in 2014, reaching LE7.820 billion.
 
The bulletin also indicated a total decline in production of petroleum substances and natural gas by 2.1 percent in March, reaching 6.075 million tons. 
 
The production of natural gas decreased in March 2015 by 7.6 percent, reaching 2.989 million tons, compared to last March.
 
CAPMAS also pointed to the decline in total domestic consumption of petroleum substances and natural gas by 1.1 percent in March, reaching 5.964 million tons.
