Egypt to host 4th edition of EDEX 2025 defense exhibition in December under President Sisi’s patronage

CAIRO, Nov 13 (MENA) — Egypt will host the fourth edition of the Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX 2025) from December 1 at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Center in Cairo, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The four-day event will bring together leading global manufacturers and exhibitors from the defense, armaments and security industries, representing both regional and international sectors. According to organizers, the exhibition will feature national pavilions from 25 countries and attract participants from around the world to showcase the latest defense technologies and systems.

The announcement was made during an international press conference held by the Egyptian Armed Forces, attended by local and foreign media representatives. Speakers at the event included Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah al-Din Mostafa; Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Mokhtar Abdel Latif; Chief of the Armed Forces Armament Authority Mohamed Adly Abdel Wahid; Chairman of the Arab International Optronics Company Tarek Saad Zaghloul; Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Mohamed al-Sewedy; Deputy Director of the National Service Projects Organization Mohamed Mahmoud; and Rear Admiral Engineer Alaa Fathi, head of the organizing committee.

Officials highlighted the strong political backing for EDEX 2025, describing it as a major international platform that reflects Egypt’s growing regional and global standing in the defense sector. The exhibition is expected to draw official delegations from more than 100 countries and around 45,000 visitors.

The press conference concluded with a Q&A session addressing media inquiries about the exhibition’s organization. It was attended by ambassadors, accredited military attachés, strategic experts, and representatives of Egyptian and foreign media outlets.
