The IAC said that Islamic countries began the month of Shaban on February 11, so most countries will observe the crescent of Ramadan on March 10, and the central conjunction will occur that day at exactly nine am GMT.

“The moon will set after sunset in almost all regions of the Islamic world, and accordingly, many countries are expected to begin the month of Ramadan on Monday, March 11,” it explained.
