Egypt, Turkey FMs call for immediate end to Israeli war on Gaza

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have stressed the need for an immediate end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, voicing their rejection of the policies of siege, starvation and displacement, as well as underlining the necessity of ensuring full access to humanitarian aid.

They also emphasized their support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of an independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.

This came during a meeting held by the two ministers on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, on the sidelines of a preparatory ministerial meeting for an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in the Qatari capital Doha, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The two ministers reviewed the trajectory of Egypt-Turkey relations and the growing positive momentum they have recently seen.

They also emphasized their commitment to building on the steps taken to foster joint cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment fields, as well as to developing mechanisms for political consultation in a way that helps consolidate the partnership between both countries.

Meanwhile, Abdelatty and Fidan expressed their solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar in the face of the recent Israeli aggression against its sovereignty.
