Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, to discuss regional developments and ongoing coordination between the two countries.
The call underscored the close ties between Egypt and the UAE and their commitment to continued consultation on issues of mutual concern.
The two ministers reviewed developments in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
Abdelatty underscored the importance of rebuilding trust among regional parties and addressing the security concerns of Gulf states, including ensuring that attacks against them are not repeated through clear confidence-building measures.
Both ministers also emphasized the need for continued coordination to address regional challenges and support efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and development across the region.
