Egypt, Uganda FMs Sign Joint Declaration At End Of Their Political Consultations

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Ugandan Minister of International Relations Henry Oryem Okello signed on Wednesday 4/12/2024 a joint declaration to develop bilateral relations and enhance joint African interests.

This came at the end of the political consultations round held between the two ministers.

The two minister agreed on maintaining consultations, exchanging visits at all levels and enhancing bilateral cooperation in all domains, especially in counter terrorism and peace building domains.

They also agreed on encouraging the private sector in Egypt and Uganda to increase joint trade and investments.

They reiterated commitment to regional integrity and sovereignty that aligns with the statute of the African Union and the UN Charter.

They agreed on maintaining consultations on Nile River water to reach an agreement to benefit all Nile-basin states in accordance with the international law.
