EgyptAir transports 63,000 pilgrims so far

The number of pilgrims arriving on EgyptAir planes from August 13 to Tuesday has totaled 63,000 pilgrims on 300 flights from Mecca and Medina, the EgyptAir Holding Company announced.

On Tuesday the company organized 17 flights from Jeddah and Medina to Cairo Airport to transport 3,200 pilgrims.

Ten flights kicked off from Jeddah to transport 1,600 pilgrims, including private trips to pilgrims from Mali, and seven flights from Medina to transport 1,600 pilgrims from Cairo, Sharqiya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena and Luxor.

On Wednesday, the company will operate 19 flights to transport 3,700 pilgrims from Jeddah and Medina to Cairo, Aswan, Hurghada and Luxor.

Eleven flights will kick off from Jeddah, including three private trips to the pilgrims of Mali, to transport 1,900 pilgrims, and eight flights from Medina to transport 1,800 pilgrims to Sharqiya, Assiut, Cairo, Ismailia, Assiut, Aswan and Qena.
