Egyptian-British actor Amir El-Masry announced on Thursday that he is making an appearance as “Commander Trach” in the latest installment of the popular Star Wars franchise, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
Masry shared on his Instagram a promotional image of the movie, commenting: “Star Wars — I don’t know how to describe my feelings. I am lucky to take part in this historical event. Thank you J (JJ Abrams) so much for giving me the opportunity to be in this movie.”
“It’s been tricky keeping it under wraps until now, but I can finally say I may or may not be making a little cameo in there as Commander Trach,” the actor continued. “Feeling incredibly lucky to be a part of this massive franchise.”

Masry has made appearances in a number of foreign work, such as the TV series “Transporter” (2014) and the comedy film “Lost in London” (2017).
The young actor has also made a splash in Egyptian cinema, having been features in “Ramadan Mabrouk Abu Al-Alamein Hammouda” (2008) starring Mohamed Heneidy, and “Al Thalatha Yashtaghaloonaha” (2010) starring Yasmine Abdel Aziz.
