Health Minister Khalid Abdel Ghaffar discussed with his Italian counterpart Orazio Schillaci boosting bilateral cooperation in the health domains, including pharmaceutical industries, along with training medical cadres in different specializations.
During their meeting on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Italian Health Ministry’s premises in Rome, the two sides discussed boosting bilateral cooperation in setting up a branch of “Bambino Gesù’s Children Hospital in the New Administrative Capital, said Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The health minister lauded the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Italian company “ENI”, under which it will support the establishment of a training center for health cadres in Port Said governorate, as part of the long-term partnership with the company.
Abdel Ghaffar also invited the Italian minister to visit Egypt and attend the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development, known the Global PHDC 2023, set for Cairo on September 5-8, under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
