Egyptian pilgrims protest mistreatment by Saudi Airlines

Egyptian Umra pilgrims protested at Cairo international Airport on Sunday over their mistreatment by Saudi Arabian Airlines staff at Jeddah International Airport.

The protesters, who also complained about chaotic flights, smashed the glass window of the airline's office at the airport.

Sources at Cairo International Airport said they have received dozens of complaints from Egyptian returnees who used Saudi Arabian Airlines. Returnees said they were beaten and humiliated by staffers at Jeddah International Airport, their flights were delayed for more than 24 hours, and their luggage was mishandled. The passengers said they have filed reports over the mistreatment.

Security tightened at Cairo International Airport following the attack on the Saudi Arabian Airlines office.
