Egyptian weightlifter Neama Saeed won her second gold medal at the Mediterranean Games hosted by the Algerian city of Oran until July 5th.
Saeed succeeded in lifting 121 kg in the women’s 71 kg clean and jerk competitions, surpassing Algeria, Tunisia, Italy and Spain, to win the first place and the gold medal.
Her first gold was in the women’s 71kg “clean” competition after lifting 101 kg.
The Egyptian mission has so far won over 36 various medals in various sports, including nine gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze.
Egypt’s participation in the tournament includes 177 players – 114 male and 63 female – in 19 sports: weightlifting, athletics, boxing, fencing, karate, shooting, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, judo, bow and arrow, wrestling, equestrian, sailing, handball, basketball, badminton, and gymnastics.
