Egypt’s ambassador in Juba confers with S.Sudan parliamentary affairs min. on joint ties

Egypt’s Ambassador in South Sudan Moatez Mostafa Abdelkader conferred on Friday with South Sudanese Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mary Nawai Martin on means of bolstering bilateral ties at the official and popular levels, the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Ministry said on its Facebook page.

During the meeting, the Egyptian diplomat voiced Cairo’s readiness to extend its expertise to the Sudanese side along with contributing to training the cadres of the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry especially at a time when the country is getting ready for the parliamentary elections and constitution drafting.

The Egyptian ambassador asserted the importance of boosting cooperation between the parliamentary affairs ministry of South Sudan and its opposite in Egypt in view of the ministry’s important role in linking between the executive and legislative authorities of the country.

The Sudanese minister, for her part, voiced deep appreciation for the Egyptian support to South Sudan in the fields of education, health, energy and management of water resources.

She also welcomed cooperation with the Egyptian side in benefiting from Cairo’s legal and legislative expertise. She expressed appreciation for the role of Egypt in establishing the pillars of security and stability in South Sudan.
