Egypt’s ambassador to Denmark Karim Sherief has underlined Cairo’s firm stances on the Palestinian cause.
The diplomat’s remarks came at a meeting of Arab ambassadors in Copenhagen with the president and spokesperson for the foreign affairs committee of the Danish Parliament ‘Folketing’.
The meeting was part of Arab-Islamic-Egyptian efforts to follow up on the situation in Gaza.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday 27/04/2024 that the ambassador highlighted the need to avoid adopting double-standard policy and hold Israel responsible for its practices.
He also asserted Egypt’s categorical rejection for any military operations in Rafah, commending Cairo’s great efforts on restoring stability in the region, reaching a ceasefire deal and delivering humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip.
