Egypt’s Media Council Secretary General arrested over bribery charges

Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority arrested on Tuesday the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Ahmed Selim, who had been caught red-handed over bribery at his office.

A source from Selim’s office told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the officers of the Administrative Control Authority arrived on Tuesday morning at the office to arrest Selim him over alleged bribery charges.

They then asked staff to close the office and leave.

Selim underwent interrogation, yet no further details have been disclosed so far.
