EMA warns against early weeks of November as rains expected

 

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) had said that six regions and governorates are expected to witness medium rainfall starting from Wednesday until Monday, November 7, they are: Matrouh, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr el-Sheikh and Damietta.

Light rainfall is expected on areas of southern Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities and central Sinai, and may extend to reach areas of Greater Cairo at intermittent intervals.

The country will continue to be affected by low-pressure areas.

EMA announced that the country will continue to be affected by a low-pressure area, which works to provide moisture, thunder, clouds and rain of varying intensity on the northern parts of the country.

There will be significant temperature decreases especially during the night and more intense wind.

Important tips:

EMA advises citizens to drive slowly during the rainy periods to avoid slippery and dangerous driving.

 

To ensure the workability of the car wipers before traveling, and to avoid places with accumulation of rainwater.

 

It is also advised that  pedestrians avoid touching lampposts and other electrical equipment to avoid electric shock.

Moderately hot weather will prevail during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, moderate on the northern coasts, and hot weather prevails in southern Upper Egypt, while pleasant atmosphere prevails at the beginning of the night, and moderately cold at the end of it in all parts.
