The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) anticipates the weather to improve starting Sunday, August 16, with temperatures dropping by up to six degrees Celsius, especially during the night and early morning hours.
Tuesday’s Weather Forecast
The authority predicts that Tuesday’s weather will be very hot and humid during the day, becoming slightly hot and humid at night across the nation.
Satellite data has detected intermittent wind activity from Wednesday to Saturday in South Sinai, the Red Sea, the western coast, Greater Cairo, and southern Egypt.
The EMA added that high humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature by two to four degrees Celsius compared to the expected temperature in the shade, making the weather feel hotter, especially during the noontime.
Important Advice
The authority urged citizens to follow weather forecasts and updates, especially with the rise in temperatures and humidity levels.
It advised caution while driving during periods of fog and recommended drinking plenty of water and cool fluids throughout the day.
The EMA also advised against prolonged direct sun exposure during peak hours, recommending wearing loose, light, white cotton clothing, staying in well-ventilated and air-conditioned areas whenever possible, and not leaving flammable materials inside cars exposed to the sun.
