Explosion in Giza terrifies residents

A large explosion went off early Tuesday morning at a Dahshur gas pipeline in the Giza Governorate.
 
The General Directorate for Civil Protection, headed by Major General Magdy Shalaqany, received a tip about the blast, after which six fire trucks were deployed to the scene.
 
The blast caused the ground to shake in Badrashin and the smell of gas spread throughout the area, terrifying residents.
 
Ahmed Kamal, a resident eyewitness, said the sound of the explosion was so loud that it prompted some residents to evacuate their homes.
