Eyewitnesses confirm snipers shooting in Tahrir Square

Several eye-witnesses have confirmed the presence of security forces snipers in Tahrir Square on Monday, shooting at protesters.

“A sniper standing on top of the Mugamma building hit four demonstrators,” said Mostafa, an eyewitness describing the bloody clashes that took place in Tahrir Square on Monday. “And the demonstrators were pushed into the square by the army and the police.”

The same story was confirmed by nine-year-old Mohamed. “I saw a man shot in the head,” he said.

The demonstrators drew a circle around the blood that was on the floor in the square to highlight it.
