Ezz pays visit to Naga Hammadi victims

Ahmed Ezz, the ruling National Democratic Party’s secretary for organizational affairs, visited Monday the six victims wounded in the Naga Hammadi incident earlier this week, in which a young man opened fire on local churchgoers.

Ezz sat with the victims for half an hour amid tight security. No other visitors were allowed to enter the hospital during his stay, while police ordered nearby shops and cafes closed.

"The accident has caused pain and sorrow for us all," said Ezz, adding that the ruling party was working both to restore solidarity among the people of Naga Hammadi and to avoid similar incidents in the future.
