Fire at Giza property kills 2 people, injures 4

Two people were killed and four others injured in a fire that broke out Tuesday evening in two adjacent buildings in the Ard al-Lewaa area of Giza Governorate.

Civil defense forces were able to control the flames after hours of extinguishing, and the two bodies and the injured were transported to nearby hospital.

Security forces responded to the fire site to investigate the circumstances of the incident and inspect the damage.

A report was filed and the Public Prosecution Office was notified, which began an investigation.

The Public Prosecution Office ordered that authorities look the cause of the fire and summoned district officials to hear their statements regarding the structural condition of the two buildings prior to the fire.
