The first meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini committee for commercial, economic, scientific and technological cooperation will start on Thursday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance in the government district at the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting will be held under Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and Bahraini Minister of Finance and Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa to discuss a number of cooperation aspects and joint initiatives between Egypt and Bahrain in the fields of commerce, economy, science and technology.
In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said that the meeting reflects the keenness of both countries on rallying efforts to achieve the development goals and meet the needs of the citizens.
Maait asserted that he is looking forward to pushing forward ties between both countries to contribute to increasing the opportunities of trade exchange via promoting joint efforts to ease any hindrances and boost investment, economic, industrial and urban cooperation to achieve sustainable economic development.
Meanwhile, the Bahraini minister asserted the keenness of Bahrain on developing aspects of cooperation with Egypt especially in the fields of economy and investment.
