FM, Arab League secretary general head to Paris

Nabil al-Araby, Secretary General of the Arab league headed to Paris on Saturday for a two-day visit to participate in the meeting of the Arab Committee on the Palestinian Cause in Paris.
 
US Secretary of State John Kerry and the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliky will also attend the meeting to discuss the developments of the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, evaluate what has been achieved so far and present the Arab point of view.
 
The Arab Committee on the Palestinian Cause includes Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Kuwait and the UAE, as well as the Secretary General of the Arab League.
 
Nabil Fahmy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, also left Cairo Saturday on his way to Paris on a three-day visit.
 
Fahmy said he would attend the meeting of the Arab Committee on the Palestinian Cause and another bilateral meeting with the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Sunday, to discuss regional and international issues especially the Syrian crisis.
 
The second meeting will focus on the developments of the situation in Egypt and the government’s commitment implementing the political roadmap, in addition to strengthening relations between Cairo and Paris in various fields, according to Fahmy.
