FM asserts necessity of mobilizing int’l support to Arab plan for early recovery, reconstruction in Gaza

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty on Saturday 8/3/2025 emphasized the importance of mobilizing international support to implement Gaza Early Recovery, Reconstruction, and Development Plan.

Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mustafa on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-CFM).

The meeting tackled the outcomes of the extraordinary Arab Summit and the Gaza plan for Early Recovery, Reconstruction, and Development that was endorsed by Arab Summit and the OIC-CFM.

The meeting took up arrangements for hosting Gaza Reconstruction Conference by Egypt, in collaboration with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.

The Palestinian prime minister commended efforts of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to host the Arab Summit in Cairo as well as support provided by Egypt to back the Palestinian issue.

Mustafa said that he is looking forward to the convocation of the rebuilding conference, with a view to contributing to securing finance of the implementation of the Arab reconstruction and early recovery plan.

He also hailed Egyptian efforts to ensure consolidating the three-phased ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
