FM: Situation in Middle East is on brink of conflagration

NEW YORK, Sept 27 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said the situation in the Middle East is on the brink of conflagration, highlighting that Egypt was the first country to establish the foundations of peace in the region.

In his speech before the United Nations General Assembly, Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of building a global system based on international law, pointing out that Egypt rejects any scenarios of forced displacement.

He added that today’s celebration of the establishment of the United Nations should be an occasion to reflect on the organization’s journey and ways to enhance its role in maintaining security and achieving welfare for all. (MORE)
