Former Interior Minister Adly and three police officers ordered to pay LE75,000 to student

The South Cairo Court Department of Remunerations Wednesday ordered former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and three police officers to pay LE75,000 to a student named Shady Maged Saad, who accused the three officers of illegally detaining him at the 6th of October Police Station and beating him.

In a lawsuit filed after the Misdemeanors Court sentenced the officers to one month in prison, Shady demanded LE500,000 in compensation for the financial and emotional damage he suffered.
