Aswan Security services on Tuesday arrested Ahmed Mahmoud Ali, lawyer and brother of former MP Mohamed al-Omda, for accusations of inciting violence and leading marches supporting deposed President Mohamed Morsy.
Major General Hassan al-Souhagy, Aswan security chief, was notified that Ali, known as Ahmed al-Omda, was arrested in his house in Kom Ombo in Aswan.
Prosecution earlier decided arresting him for inciting violence in Aswan following dispersal of pro-Morsy sit-ins of Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda squares on 14 August.
Police filed a report and prosecution was notified to conduct investigations.
