The Petroleum Ministry will increase fuel pumping to 22,500 tons of gasoline and 42,000 tons of diesel per day to meet people's needs during the Eid holiday, the ministry announced on Monday.
Petroleum Minister Tarek al-Mulla met with the presidents of companies that market petroleum products to coordinate efforts ahead of Eid al-Adha.
The minister also discussed with the heads of these companies plans to increase the number of gas stations in new cities and on highways as part of improved services for citizens.
In a related context, Mulla met with Sherif Soussa, Undersecretary of the Petroleum Ministry, and the heads of petroleum companies to discuss the latest explorations and programs in developing oil fields.
