The girl reportedly caught in an obscene act with Salafi MP Ali Wanees in his car is not his niece as he previously claimed, security services determined after an investigation.
The girl, whose name is Nesrine Ramadan, is a university student of agriculture from the village of Moshtohor.
The girl told investigators that she went to see Wanees to borrow money from him for a friend. Her father denied she performed an indecent act, saying he trusts his daughter and that she would never do anything of the sort.
Prosecutors have summoned Wanees for investigation.
Wanees denied taking part in an obscene act as well.
