Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted the original and pioneering role of the Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) in developing and localizing pharmaceuticals and medical appliances according to the latest international criteria.
This came during the meeting of the general assembly of ACDIMA in the presence of Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and Minister of International Cooperation Rania al-Mashaat in addition to Board Chairman of ACDIMA on Tuesday 6/2/2024 at the headquarters of the Health Ministry in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting included a documentary identifying the company and its achievements in 84 years and the strategies of the company to improve the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt and draw a roadmap that enables the state to provide all kinds of medicines in the market and open new economic markets with the different countries, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
The minister asserted the importance of encouraging the industry of local medicines in the coming period to decrease the percentage of importing medicines that have local alternatives.
He reiterated the importance of boosting efforts exerted to open new and sustainable export horizons.
ACDIMA presented LE100 million to support the presidential initiative to end waiting lists, the spokesman said.
