Health minister probes provision of medical needs of Palestinians

Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Tuesday had a meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Mai Al-Kaila and her accompanying delegation to discuss the medical needs of Palestinians and ways to meet them in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The minister welcomed the Palestinian delegation, which visited Egyptian hospitals treating sick and wounded Palestinians.

The minister directed to arrange extra shipments of medicines to be delivered to the war-devastated Gaza Strip, underlining the need to focus on providing moral and psychological support to Palestinians traumatized by the unprecedented ruthless Israeli aggression they have been subjected to since October 7, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.

Abdel Ghaffar voiced Egypt’s readiness to receive larger numbers of wounded Palestinians and cement health cooperation with the Arab country to overcome the repercussions of the Gaza war.

For her part, Al-Kaila extended thanks to Sisi and the Egyptian government over their great efforts to help the Palestinians and provide them with necessary relief.
