Hot, rainy weather expected for Monday, Cairo 34C

 

Meteorologists predict hot weather on Monday across Egypt. Milder temperatures are expected along the north coast, with the hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt during daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in the north, accompanied by light rainfall.

Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate. They will be active on South Sinai, Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough between 2 to 2.5 meters high.

Surface winds will be northwestern for both seas.

Temperatures predicted are: 30C in Alexandria, 34C in Cairo, 35C in Hurghada and Sharm al-Sheikh, 37C in Qena and Luxor, and 38C in Aswan.
