The cabinet’s media center highlighted a reduction by 15 percent in the non-petroleum trade deficit during the third quarter of 2023 to hit 9.1 billion dollars, compared to the same quarter in 2022 that recorded 10.7 billion dollars.
In its publication, titled “Non-Petroleum Commodities Exports,” the center said the value of non-petroleum exports reached in the same period 8.5 billion dollars against nearly 7.7 billion dollars in the comparison period, marking a rise rate of about 10.4 percent.
Non-petroleum imports declined to 17.6 billion dollars in the 3rd quarter of 2023, compared to about 18.4 billion dollars in the relevant quarter in 2022 with a reduction rate of about 4.3 percent, according to it.
