Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq sent a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the anniversary of Isra and Miraj (the night journey of Prophet Muhammad).
In the cable, Tawfiq wished Egypt more progress and prosperity.
Al-Israa and Al-Miraj (Night Journey and Ascension of the Prophet), is observed by Muslims on the 27th of the Hijri month of Rajab.
The event marks the night that Allah took Prophet Muhammad on a night journey from Mecca to Al Quds and then to heaven.
