Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said the police will not allow anyone to be on the street on Friday after 7 p.m., the hour the curfew starts.
Non-peaceful protest by supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy will be met with live fire, he added.
In a phone-in with Dream TV on Thursday, Ibrahim added that supporters of Morsy will not be allowed the chance to stage sit-ins.
He said that he gave instructions to police officers to use live ammunition if protesters storm into establishments or threaten public life in their protests on Friday.
