President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Thursday a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said.
The Iraqi premier wished President Sisi happy Ramadan and more progress, stability and welfare to beloved Egypt, the spokesman said.
He reiterated Iraq’s keenness on boosting bilateral relations with Egypt, lauding Egypt’s pivotal role in enhancing mechanisms of Arab action in face of challenges.
Sisi expressed gratitude over the brotherly gesture, wishing Iraq more progress and prosperity.
He reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support of Iraq’s security and stability.
The two sides exchanged viewpoints towards a number of Arab and regional issues of mutual interest.
