Israeli forces opened fire early Monday on Palestinian fishermen off the coast of the Gaza Strip, Egypt’s state-run MENA reported, quoting local sources from the enclave.
The incident took place near al-Sudaniya region north of Gaza, the sources noted, but the attack did not leave any casualties.
Israeli forces frequently assault fishermen along the Gaza coast, accusing them of infringing upon the restricted, 6-mile fishing zone.
Palestinians, on the other hand, deem the Israeli forces attacks as a violation of the Egypt-sponsored truce signed in August 2014, ending a 51-day conflict.
